The fertilizer is pulled from the bottom of the tank as water is brought into the top of the tank.HOW DO I KNOW WHEN THE TANK IS READY TO REFILL?Filling once every two months with the recommended amount of BIO-GREEN injector fertilizer will be adequate. The injector can be refilled even if it is not totally out of fertilizer. Just pour the water from the tank until it is no longer clear.
